| Description: | It is so simple, yet so pleasant. Bring your innertube. You just drop your innertube into the river, sit down on it and float through a river paradise. Listen to the birds, talk to friends or just perfect your floating technique. If you do not have an innertube maybe we can loan you one, or tell you where to find one. Dress to get wet. Wear shoes that you do not mind getting wet. Do not bring anything onto the river that you will not mind losing. Sunglasses, (not prescription) sunscreen, a change of clothes. We meet in Springfield and travel north. We position cars at the takeout to shuttle drivers back to their cars at the put-in. The river is spring fed and very clean and cold. It is also shallow for the most part. This event is weather dependent. Thunderstorms or high river levels make this dangerous. So explicit contact information is needed in case of cancellation. Reservations Required and Waivers for non-members required. |
